Anaconda
A Mathematical Model of the Human Decision-Making Process
Forecasting Human Behaviour – a trillion $ market
Project Anaconda is an ambitious multi-disciplinary effort to model human decision making in the brain.
Today, at the current state of research, there is little doubt, that within the human brain a quantum mechanical network is the basis for awareness, conscience and the daily brain activities in general. The reason for the heightened interest: networks can be modeled, and models can be used to predict certain events – this is made possible by the arrival of quantum computing and much more powerful computers, which are able to handle large data loads. Mass psychology and the mathematical modeling of human decision making is a potential multi-trillion dollar market. The ability to predict human decision making on a large scale will have major real-world applications from sales to stock markets, healthcare and governance.
Neuroscientists like to remind us that the brain is the most complex object in the known universe. The complexity they talk about is related to the brain’s strange ability to integrate sensory inputs, to learn, to think, to store memories, to develop feeling, and to perform higher cognitive functions such as consciousness, self-awareness, mathematics, and yes, being able to write poems and equations about itself.
Project “Anaconda” is a long-term collaborative multi-disciplinary effort to deliver the first mathematical model of the human brain, with the goal to provide better forecast abilities of human decision making.
You may believe that this is a totally new project, not yet existing in the market. That is not the case.
By all means, scientists agree that famed investor Jim Simons has solved the stock market problem. In the financial markets logical valuation based investments represent a small percentage. The vast majority of investment decisions can be attributed to a phenomenon that is based on human mass psychology. His mathematical model of the stock markets is not public knowledge and is kept a secret. But we know that it is based on Bayesian modelling and chaos theory. We can say thus that Jim Simons and his team were the first persons ever to be able to beat the stock market on a consistent basis during many years. Jim Simon’s fortune grew from zero to almost 40 billion USD. A great success.
We want to take Jim Simons’ work much further, by mathematically modelling the quantum net, which forms in the microtubules the basis of human consciousness and thus the psychology (state of mind) of an individual person. Trivial questions like what exactly leads to a human decision to buy a certain product or service have no scientific solutions today, but will with Project Anaconda.
